So Rev and I've been to Thailand and oh my god! it's something else, the weather's great and you can buy absolutey anything for peanuts provided you haggle, we haven't quite mastered it and kept having trouble with the exchange rate. We got ripped off a few times but started to wise up - I brought a lot of pasalubong for my family and cost me only PhP2,000, although that's pretty cheap, I still think I could have done better!
Our accommodation was at ma'friend's apartment very near the city. This wasn’t a big one but a quiet and laid back place to relax and enjoy. Breakfasts in the morning were a treat.
All expense paid by ma'good friend stationed there - AS IN whoa! from accomodation, food, tour up to shopping! Whew! Really great to have connections... Thanks Chevron!
It was a great trip! We cruised along Tapee river with over flowing authentic Thai cuisine served. There was much to see but we loved the day trip to the different temples and the Elephant ride was a great experience.
Follow your heart. It may be the longer road, but the beauty is in the trip, not the destination!
